Important happenings from today’s FIU-BoT meeting:
1) The BoT voted to ratify the CBA amendments faculty ratified in spring. This means we officially have an updated contract!
2) The BoT also approved the Guidelines for Reopening plan put forth by the administration. The plan will now be presented to the BOG at the June 23rd meeting.
The UFF-FIU bargaining team continues to bargain over the impacts of COVID-19 and reopening to faculty work. Our next meeting is scheduled for this Thursday, June 18th at 3pm. Please contact us if you wish to attend via Zoom.
