We are very pleased to share our newly signed Memorandum of Understanding with the FIU administration concerning Fall faculty work. Moving forward, we are going to schedule a ratification vote for shortly after 9-month faculty are back on contracts and will be sending more information about that process in the coming weeks. We will also be scheduling a Q&A meeting about the agreement in the upcoming weeks. TAKE ACTION: The HEROES Act

On May 15th, the U.S. House of Representatives passed the HEROES Act to provide $3 trillion in relief for the impacts of COVID-19. This includes $1.56 billion for higher education. 2020 CBA Amendments Ratification Vote

Under the remote-work order, UFF-FIU will proceed with an online ratification vote to be held the following week from Wednesday, April 29th to Friday, May 1st. Summary of 2020 Tentative BOT-UFF Agreement

Based upon our bargaining sessions during Spring 2020, the FIU Administration and the United Faculty of Florida-FIU have reached a tentative agreement on the following re-openers of the 2018-2021 Collective Bargaining Agreement. The spring Chapter Meeting was held on Tuesday, March 24th from 10am-12pm. Due to current campus restrictions, the UFF-FIU Executive Committee held a remote meeting via Zoom. All faculty were emailed a Zoom link and password to join the meeting. The nominations for union leadership positions closed onMarch 10th.
