On May 15th, the U.S. House of Representatives passed the HEROES Act to provide $3 trillion in relief for the impacts of COVID-19. This includes $1.56 billion for higher education.
The bill is still currently stuck in the U.S. Senate! We urge all members to contact their Senators and request the Senate move forward with the HEROES Act. The American Federation of Teachers, the National Education Association, and many of our UFF locals all have resources to connect you with their offices, either by phone or email, and take action.
